Designed, developed, and deployed Oscholar.in as a fully self-owned, production-grade academic publishing and research platform, handling the complete lifecycle from system design to cloud infrastructure and CI/CD. Architecture & Engineering: - Frontend: Built using Next.js, optimized for SEO, performance, and content-heavy rendering - Backend: Implemented core APIs using NestJS, with high-performance services and background processing written in Rust - Database: Designed and optimized PostgreSQL schemas for large-scale academic content, search, and relational integrity - APIs: REST-based, scalable service architecture with pagination, filtering, and role-based access control - Authentication & Authorization: Secure access control for authors, readers, and institutions Cloud, DevOps & Infrastructure: - Fully deployed on Microsoft Azure - Containerized all services using Docker - Orchestrated workloads with Kubernetes for scalability and resilience - Implemented complete CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment - Configured environment separation, secrets management, and production-grade deployment workflows - Designed for high availability, scalability, and maintainability Outcome: Delivered a cloud-native, scalable academic platform demonstrating deep expertise in full-stack development, backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps, with complete end-to-end ownership.
